35 (More) Songs to Motivate and Energize - Guest Blog Post by Andy Mucha

At the start of the 2010 I wrote a blog post based on your responses to my request for songs to add to my play list for the gym. The result was a blog post which included a list of 35 songs to energize and motivate. Given that this is a career and work-life harmony blog, I was surprised that in four months this post has become one of the most searched posts. Trust me, I am not complaining -- any positive and natural way to increase our energy is a wonderful contribution.

These past few weeks I have had the chance to do many interviews for Get a Life, Not a Job and one of the questions I am often asked is "What holds people back from achieving their career goals?" Lack of energy always makes the top three on that list.

So, once again, this post is dedicated to music to motivate and energize.
This new list of 35 songs comes from Andy Mucha, the manager for Network Partnership Development at Nova Global. As an aside, I will need to assume these songs are really working for Andy because he does seem to have an off-the-chart energy level. Andy's list is:

  1. AC/DC – Thunderstruck
  2. Badfinger – No Matter What
  3. James Brown – Get Up Off That Thing
  4. Cake – The Distance
  5. Ray Charles – What I’d say?
