What is cultural agility? Health and fitness experts would describe human “agility” as the ability to change the position of one’s body rapidly and accurately without losing balance. Culturally agile people are able to accurately assess the differences in behaviors, attitudes, and values between themselves and others and know how and when to appropriately use cultural knowledge and behaviors, without losing balance (so to speak). Cultural agility is an ability to move quickly, comfortably and successfully from one cultural context to another.
