I am really happy I found this book! (I actually found your blog on the Rutgers's website)
It seems many individuals just stick to a cycle because of the fear and worry of changing things up, however you miss so many opportunities. Specifically, the ones that you will lose out on that will enhance you as a person. Many of my friends and family in the U.S. are constantly worrying about their jobs even though they despise them. I hope with your book, I could convince them otherwise.
Thanks!
Hi Paula,
I love your blog and all of your topics (especially about the music!) It's very motivational and inspirational. I can't wait to read your books! I used to feel selfish in wanting to find a career that suited me. I want to be passionate about something. I never want to have to look at a clock. That's my idea of a "job". It didn't seem like it could be a reality. As I mature, I realize that material things are just "stuff". Possessions don't bring you inner peace and overall happiness and oneness with yourself.
As Natasha Bedingfield says in her song, "Unwritten", "Only you can feel the rain on your skin". ( I guess you can add this song to your list!) It has helped me tremendously. Thank you Paula for your fabulous insight to what I so strongly believe in as well.
Hi Nancy,
Many thanks for your kind words. I couldn't agree more...I'd rather spend money on experiences with loved ones, as opposed to material things; the former will always provide greater happiness. If you stay true to yourself, know your talents, and continually shape your career, you will find a career that will bring you to that state of flow (happiness, engagement, etc.). It will come and you are on your way...
Thanks for reading and posting this comment!

I think you've hit the nail on the head. We work to live, not the other way around. Since we spend most of our waking hours working, we might as well work at something that is personally as well as financially rewarding. This book provides a plan for how to make that dream come true!
Oh, and thank you for the "no hamsters were harmed" eco-friendly assurance!
